Required Notice Pursuant to House Bill 23-1105

HOA and Metropolitan District Homeowners’ Rights Task Force

  

House Bill 23-1105 created the HOA and Metropolitan District Homeowners’ Rights Task Forces to examine certain matters in communities that are governed by these entities.  The Metropolitan District Homeowners’ Rights Task Force will review, among other matters, tax levying authority and practices, foreclosure practices, communications with homeowners and governance policies. A requirement of the new law is that we notify you of the creation and existence of the Metropolitan District Homeowners’ Rights Task Force prior to its first meeting.  If you have any questions about the Metropolitan District Homeowners’ Rights Task Force, please reach out to the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies or visit their website at https://dora.colorado.gov.

Elections

Timber Springs Metropolitan District holds regular Director elections in accordance with Colorado State statute.

 
The next regular District election for Directors will be held May 2027. 

 

To be eligible to run for a Board seat, a person must be an eligible elector of the District which is defined as 

1) Being a registered voter in the State of Colorado and 

2) satisfy one of the following:

a) a resident of the District OR

b) The owner (or spouse of the owner) of taxable real or personal property held in a real person's name situated in the District ,OR 

c) A person obliged to pay taxes under a contract to purchase taxable property.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Timber Springs Metropolitan District, Eagle County, Colorado, that at the close of business on the sixty-third day before the election, there were not more candidates for director than offices to be filled, including candidates filing affidavits of intent to be write-in candidates; therefore, the election to be held on May 6, 2025 is hereby canceled pursuant to section 1-13.5-513(6) C.R.S.

Accessibility Progress Report

QUARTERLY PROGRESS-TO-DATE REPORT

 The District is committed to providing equitable access to all Coloradans pursuant to HB24-1454, § 24-85-103(2.5), C.R.S., and 8 CCR 1501-11 Governor’s Office of Information Technology Rules Establishing Technology Accessibility Standards. As required our ongoing accessibility effort works towards the day when all District services, programs, and activities are accessible, providing equal access to information and services to all.

To that end, and as required, the District is providing a progress-to-date report as stated below that has prioritized, evaluated, and remediated to continuously improve every digital touchpoint within our services, programs, and activities. 

For the quarter beginning April 1, 2025 the District makes the following report: 

1. Accessibility Scan of Digital Services and Content. 

The District conducts technology accessibility scans of the District’s website content against applicable Technical Standards and is keeping results of the scans on file. 

2. Progress on Remediation of Digital Content. 

All the documents that will not be replaced in the next 3 months have been remediated.  

3. Goal to Reach Full Compliance Under the Rules. 

The District has a plan in place with a goal to have all digital content remediated by July 1, 2025.
