HOA and Metropolitan District Homeowners’ Rights Task Force

House Bill 23-1105 created the HOA and Metropolitan District Homeowners’ Rights Task Forces to examine certain matters in communities that are governed by these entities. The Metropolitan District Homeowners’ Rights Task Force will review, among other matters, tax levying authority and practices, foreclosure practices, communications with homeowners and governance policies. A requirement of the new law is that we notify you of the creation and existence of the Metropolitan District Homeowners’ Rights Task Force prior to its first meeting. ELECTIONS

Airport Commerce Center Metropolitan District holds regular Director elections in accordance with Colorado State statute.

The next regular District election for Directors will be held May 2025.

To be eligible to run for a Board seat, a person must be an eligible elector of the District which is defined as

1) Being a registered voter in the State of Colorado and

2) satisfy one of the following:

a) a resident of the District OR

b) The owner (or spouse of the owner) of taxable real or personal property held in a real person's name situated in the District ,OR

c) A person obliged to pay taxes under a contract to purchase taxable property.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Airport Commerce Center Metropolitan District, Eagle County, Colorado, that at the close of business on the sixty-third (63rd) day before the election or thereafter there were not more candidates for Director than offices to be filled, including candidates filing affidavits of intent to be write-in candidates; therefore, the election to be held on May 2, 2023 is hereby cancelled.

The following candidates are declared elected:

Breanna J Barry 4 Year Term until May 2027

Elisabeth M Barry 4 Year Term until May 2027

Brockton L Ward 4 Year Term until May 2027

VACANT 2 Year Term until May 2025
